played_30s, the one event the marketing system judges by, once per Game page opened.
A session that plays three Games counts three; one that bounces counts none. So Players can run
above sessions, and it is the number the ads are bought on. Players before 17 Sep 2026 counted a
visible tab; from 17 Sep they need thirty seconds of real input. No traffic snapshot yet. The Producer writes it at the end of the next Publish Cycle — or press Refresh now.
The clock. Every bucket is on the property's own clock, — an hour is that hour there, a day ends at its midnight, a week starts on its Monday. Sessions and Players in one bucket are counted by when they happened, not when GA4 finished processing them.
The metric changed on 17 Sep 2026. Players before 17 Sep 2026 counted a visible tab; from 17 Sep they need thirty seconds of real input — so a drop in the Players line at that date is the honesty arriving, not an audience leaving.
